I have been plying with the new MDM Settings for Windows 10 – 1607 ActiveHours on WindowsInsider build 14332.
This settings allows the IT admin to manage a range of hours where update reboots are not scheduled – that is a pretty need feature.
The new update settings is:
- Change active hours
- Restart options
- Advanced Options
The default Active hours is from 8.00 to 17.00
This settings I cant find a CSP policy for at this time
The Advanced options – has not changed in this build
Creation of a OMA-URI CSP policy to set the ActiveHours Start and End
Note – This policy is available on Windows 10 Pro, Windows 10 Enterprise, Windows 10 Education, and Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise
The policy for setting the ActiveHoursStart:
Update/ActiveHoursStart
Allows the IT admin (when used with Update/ActiveHoursEnd) to manage a range of hours where update reboots are not scheduled. This value sets the start time.
Supported values are 0-23, where 0 is 12 AM, 1 is 1 AM, etc.
The default value is 8 (8 AM).
The policy for setting the ActiveHoursEnd:
Update/ActiveHoursEnd
Allows the IT admin (when used with Update/ActiveHoursStart) to manage a range of active hours where update reboots are not scheduled. This value sets the end time.
Supported values are 0-23, where 0 is 12 AM, 1 is 1 AM, etc.
The default is 17 (5 PM).
I have change my ActiveHours from 9 to 15 where the Device will not restart.
After applying the policy the settings is unavailable to see or change for the user
