I have been plying with the new MDM Settings for Windows 10 – 1607 ActiveHours on WindowsInsider build 14332.

This settings allows the IT admin  to manage a range of hours where update reboots are not scheduled – that is  a pretty need feature.

The new update settings is:

  • Change active hours
  • Restart options
  • Advanced Options

The default Active hours is from 8.00 to 17.00

This settings I cant find a CSP policy for at this time

Creation of a OMA-URI CSP policy to set the ActiveHours Start and End

Note – This policy is available on Windows 10 Pro, Windows 10 Enterprise, Windows 10 Education, and Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise

Windows 10 - ActiveHours

The policy for setting the ActiveHoursStart:

Update/ActiveHoursStart

Note  This policy is available on Windows 10 Pro, Windows 10 Enterprise, Windows 10 Education, and Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise

Allows the IT admin (when used with Update/ActiveHoursEnd) to manage a range of hours where update reboots are not scheduled. This value sets the start time.

Supported values are 0-23, where 0 is 12 AM, 1 is 1 AM, etc.

The default value is 8 (8 AM).

 

OMA-URI-Update-ActiveHoursStart

The policy for setting the ActiveHoursEnd:

Update/ActiveHoursEnd

Note  This policy is available on Windows 10 Pro, Windows 10 Enterprise, Windows 10 Education, and Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise

Allows the IT admin (when used with Update/ActiveHoursStart) to manage a range of active hours where update reboots are not scheduled. This value sets the end time.

Supported values are 0-23, where 0 is 12 AM, 1 is 1 AM, etc.

The default is 17 (5 PM).

 

OMA-URI-Update-ActiveHoursEnd

I have change my ActiveHours from 9 to 15 where the Device will not restart.

After applying the policy the settings is unavailable to see or change for the user
