For a while now is has been known, that Microsoft will retire the Azure AD admin experience in the classic Azure portal – on November 30 it is over.

Today one new feature was enabled in the new Azure AD portal – that is Conditional access – Classic policies (Preview), why is this important?? When the old portal is retired and when it is no longer possible to access it – and there for you don’t know what Conditional Access policies from the old portal that are enabled in your tenant.

 

What is the Classic policies (Preview) ??

It is a way to see if you have old Conditional Access rules enabled in your tenant.

Start by click on “Classic Policies (Preview)”

Then you can see all the conditional access rules from the old AzureAD portal – and you can see witch one are enabled

If you find the application that have a conditional access rules enabled in the old portal – you will be able to see the settings until the 30th november 2017.

Back in the new AzureAD portal you can just disable the conditional access rules and create a new in the new AzureAD portal with the same settings.

By clicking on the rules in the AzureAD portal you will also see the detailed information on the rules in the new AzureAD portal.

Remember that the classic AzureAD portal will be retired at 11/30/2017
